Monday means a fresh episode of the Real Life podcast is ready to help you kick off your week. Today's episode covers a range of topics after an eventful weekend filled with life events, an Oilers win, and the first snowstorm of the season. On today's podcast, the guys covered the weekend's snowstorm, Wanye being super dad, Chalmers' upcoming surgery, and more. The guys started the Monday episode of Real Life with a conversation about the dump of snow that hit us this past weekend. Of course, everyone on the show is used to Alberta winters, but that doesn't always mean you're ready when Mother Nature dumps a foot of snow over 24 hours. From shovelling snow to driving around during a storm, they walked through their approach to Edmonton's first winter storm. Changing gears, Wanye wanted to discuss why he missed the second period of Saturday's Oilers game. As you'll hear, Papa Wanye was called to duty when his little man got sick after what he thought was a solid way to tire him out. Unfortunately, while Wanye's plan may have been sound in theory, what happened was very different from the expectation. Off to a different topic again, Chalmers walked through the elbow surgery he's getting tomorrow and how doing construction over the last three decades has caused some issues. It was clear that something was wrong if you saw Chalmers walk into the studio ahead of the recording, and it all made sense once he talked about what's going on. Finally, the guys wrapped up the Monday episode with a little bit of Oilers talking, starting with the fact that both Viktor Arvidsson and Zach Hyman are already ruled out for next weekend.
