I really loved the old podcast; it was the first ever podcast I listened to and was definitely 5 stars. I just wish when it came to an end, Ed and Geoff bowed out gracefully as what is left is just banal chat, mainly about Ed’s quirks and going over old ground. Maybe I’ll catch up on all of the...Read full review »

Mourning the loss of the old format (I understand the necessity of its demise; best of luck in the Facebook group election Geoff!). But by God, the Cheerful Chatterooooooo is exactly what the doctor ordered for these ostensibly pessimistic times.

Another moron with voice fry guest. Why do you people think i want to listed to some vocal fry/voice fry moron. They sound so dumb as opposed to intelligent as they’ve convinced themselves they sound

Congratulations on the 5th Anniversary and on your brilliant choice of guest for the celebratory episode. Absolutely love Marina and her journalism. Your episodes are so worth listening to and I still enjoy the T shirt. Thanks so much.

A regular weekly dose of optimism to keep the doom and gloom away! Ed Miliband seems like a lovely intelligent man and far too nice to ever have been PM and his co-host Geoff Lloyd is witty and self-deprecating. Big ideas to improve the world are interspersed with funny and personal stories about...Read full review »

1) as an interview technique Ed’s “talk about….” feels jarring. Like barking out orders instead of asking questions. 2) the adverts. Hearing Geoff sing the praises of The Times and calling it Britain’s most trusted newspaper is not great. I’m trans and The Times has transphobic hit-pieces most...Read full review »

I’ve come to this podcast very late after years of only listening to crime!! What breath of fresh air- my brain is working and my face is smiling. Oh and I have a crush on Ed lol Thanks for sharing so much interesting stuff. Merry Christmas guys 😊

I’ve listened to this podcast for years and have learnt so much from it every week. I know podcasts cost money to create, but the lengthy ads - now very lengthy and mid-episode - are very off putting and feel like a sell-out. Does Geoff REALLY absolutely love the Kia car? It sounds trite and...Read full review »

I look forward to this podcast every week and am rarely disappointed. The topics are interesting and relevant and the chat between Ed and Geoff on issues such as tricycles and cold water swimming is good fun.

Why on Earth couldn’t we see this side of Ed Miliband when he was leader of the Opposition? Such a great guy, funny, clever, authentic and human. And look who we have in power now!! God it makes me want to weep at the missed opportunity!! Keep it up guys.

Always worth a listen if you’re felling down. Ed & Jeff search out the positive. It does what it says on the tin. Where is the link to a reading list?

One of my favourite podcasts - incisive, entertaining, informative. I always feel I’ve learned something new even on topics I (like to) think I’m reasonably informed about, and that I can look at important issues from a more questioning perspective. Ed and Geoff are so engaging - they really...Read full review »

What’s great about the podcast is the sense of hope and possibility. Each episode has a different topic, transport, perhaps education. The guests are forward thinkers and experienced. I’m a big fan, listen every week.

My favourite way of keeping up with current affairs. Uplifting and relevant conversation, listen to on my way to university (or more recently before sitting down for online lectures), for an entertaining and informative start to my morning. Always puts me in a good mindset.

I usually turn away from anything remotely political especially right now! I’m SO fed up of the divisive political landscape and the inability to simply have an adult, mature and truthful conversation about what is really happening in Britain today. This is where RTBC comes in because it presents...Read full review »

Great positivity. Love most episodes. It would be nice with less advertising or find an option for maybe paying for ad free episodes.

Thanks for the podcast which I look forward to every week. Positive hopeful thoughtful. Personally enjoy the ‘banter’ - especially when we’re in such grim times.

I love that this show is bringing some really important ideas to a wider audience and the guests are normally great. Never heard of the board line millennial Geoff. Ed frustrates me a little. Why wasn’t he so progressively minded when leader of the opposition. I’m sure the UK would be in such a rubbish place now if he has been just a little more progressive. Hohum! Generally very informative & thought...Read full review »

I love RTBC but this spin off is about as far from it as you would want to imagine. Biased, boring and tripping off all the usual tropes about the red and blue parties. No balance whatsoever. It’s a challenge to be cheerful these days, but this podcast is uplifting. From the witty rapport to the knowledgeable guests and insightful questions, every episode is a learning experience. Long live the Geoffocracy.

The interviews are usually interesting and informative but neither Ed nor Geoff are particularly funny so shouldn’t try to be. Like a previous reviewer, I think the comedian at the end is pointless and should be dropped. What could be a good podcast is spoilt by all the waffle.

caldini via Apple Podcasts · Great Britain · 09/10/19
There's a nugget of a great podcast here. Unforunately it's bookended by waffle and rubbish. I jump in at abou 8 minutes, which is when the main content starts, then stop listening when the comic appears. I wish that they'd release a podcast just with the interview, which is...Read full review »
