Enjoyable & Educational
This is great. I like being able to read the recipe, then hearing how they actually did the recipe, then hearing what they’d do in the future. Cooking along ahead of time would be fun and someday I might do that, but I got a lot out of hearing the shows before making my own turkey and stuffing this week. I’m probably going to re-listen to the stuffing episode while making my own on Thursday. Comparing three recipes is not at all important to me. It’s cool, but I’d still enjoy it if they just all cooked one or two. I really get a lot out of hearing the larger picture of how this recipe relates to other dishes and how it can be changed and adapted. For reference, I like cooking and cook for my family (husband and 4 year old twins) most nights, but I don’t have a culinary background of any kind. I make substitutions and change things if it’s going wrong, but I almost always have a recipe or two that I’m working from. I love that this show is starting from that familiar, accessible point (recipe in hand) and then goes into adapting and improving from there. And I’m good with the swearing. Thanks for doing this podcast!

Love this podcast, I also subscribe to the thought that a recipe is just a guideline. Interesting cooking ideas and hilarious, great entertainment. Can’t wait for the next one 🤗❤️

I think this could be a great podcast! I tried to stay with the first episode I listened to till the end, but the ongoing swearing was way too much for me. Too bad.

I love well made podcasts and this is my favorite by far. Chang really shines in this format which focuses on the food and all of the myriad things he knows and thinks about it while letting him free associate just enough to make it interesting. His guests are really great and this is truly one...Read full review »
