Excellent telling of the Reconquista!
Ok, I’ll say it. This podcast is better than the History of Rome podcast, which if you like history podcasts set the gold standard. The story of the Iberian Peninsula is very easy to listen to, follow and understand. It is punctuated with some very interesting historical facts along the way. The presenter had a great voice; it is clear, precise, not too fast, and personally I very much like her understated style. The episodes are not too long, and do not assume any background knowledge. There is good recappping so it is easy to pick up. Rather than just bare narrative, the presenter explains why things occurred, not just what occurred and when. It is incredibly well researched and her sources are provided and quoted throughout. It is also great to hear a compatriot Australian with the accent! I love the opening and closing as well. Well done and I look forward to the next instalments.

History of the Crusades was one of my favourite podcasts. I am so happy that you are back and even more happy that you are covering a part of history I know very little about. Thi is a great podcast and I share every episode with friends and family.
