“I really enjoy cricket and grew up watching it in the 90s. What Kimber does here is connect cricket to wider political, cultural and economic trends, while still keeping it tied to the sport itself. I’ve learned more about English cricket, how cricket broadcasts are and should be created, and about the story of specific Australian cricketers here than I would have anywhere else. The depth, humor and fun far exceeds most anything else I’ve heard. Five stars for this gem that entertains and edifies.”
