Half-Baked Theology meets lackluster presentation
Yeah, this is a tough one to get through. I’m all for giving people a sympathetic hearing but these topics are mostly just microwaved mid 20th century theological hot takes that have been discredited and are not believed (now or ever) by the vast majority of Christians throughout the world. Lite on exegesis, heavy on platitudes. If listeners here are looking for alternative takes to balance out more fundamentalist backgrounds, I’d recommend John Dickson’s UnDeceptions or the OnScript podcast. This is farce disguised as nuance. (Gave 1 star because I was concerned zero might look like I didn’t pay attention. Zero stars is the intent.)

More reviews of A People's Theology
This podcast is a breath of fresh air. Good for people in search of answers that may not align with what we were taught growing up in the church. It’s nice to have this insight.

You ain’t gonna find ivory tower theology here! As I say “Theology that can’t or doesn’t outwork itself in justice and/or pastoral care isn’t worth looking at”. The theology here though DOES work itself on the ground.
