i’ve struggled for years to find a resource that gives me options for ways to think about God. Someone shared this podcast with me and it’s been the most liberating space to come, learn, and walk away with new ways to think about God. Thank you.

Mason Mennenga advocates and celebrates abortion. “Beware of the false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly are ravenous wolves.” - Matthew 7:15

The question directs the participants to an anthropomorphic view of that which we call God. From a science perspective, G-D is the energy that created the universe, gave life to that universe and sustains all things in the universe. Process theology says that all things are in motion, nothing is...Read full review »

A great convo with Cole Arthur Riley! The questions are thoughtful. The conversation is relaxed and relational. The topic spoke into the realities of the world today- especially for people of faith, faith leaders and theologians of any kind. Honest and sincere dialogue about challenging questions - leading to places of hope. This is exactly the kind of discussions I need to hear, and even more so, what the church needs to hear today. Love it.

This podcast is a breath of fresh air. Good for people in search of answers that may not align with what we were taught growing up in the church. It’s nice to have this insight.

It’s nice to know there are folks out there with the same questions and concerns when it comes to faith and how we were brought up with it. Such a good variety of guests.

Mason is a heretic. He is convinced that God loves everyone and all of them, including their sinful flesh suits. He has also been brainwashed into thinking God isn’t omnipotent and in complete sovereign control of everything. For real! Who can look at history and not see the hand of the Almighty...Read full review »

Here is a podcast with a young vibe and a theological paradigm that seeks understanding and context as it’s ethos.

I’m binging this podcast this week and love it! I’m a big fan of the interview style and questions being asked. The questions being asked are killer and really lead to people being able to understand and practice heavy theological ideas. Side note: I’d love to see an episode on Transpanpsychism...Read full review »

I spent most of my adult life avoiding Mason’s podcast because I didn’t think anything could top his tweets... then the voice of Noah’s dental hygienist reached me in a moment of weakness. I listened to a few episodes and now I’m hooked. How dare you Mason?! Top notch guests, whit, charm,...Read full review »

I like the combination of a theological discussion with one guest and a music artist interview interlude with another guest. I also appreciate Mason’s thought-provoking questions.

Mason Mennega’s podcast teaches me, inspires me, makes me laugh, gives me hope, and he introduces me to great people and great pieces of writing— and great musicians! The podcast aesthetic is also great, and the length of the podcast works.

I’ve never listened to the podcast but Mason’s tweets are top-notch. I justify this review on the basis that someone else left a one-star review solely because she disliked the musical interludes on the single episode she’d listened to... so here’s five stars as a freebie 👍🏻 (I’m also considering...Read full review »

You will have interludes of alternative music, that is interruptive and stark in contrast to the interview. I only listened to one, so it might be better on other episodes. The episode I am referencing here is the episode with Dr. Wil Gafney

The calm & steady tone of Mason’s voice does not match the tone of his tweet (not sure if I’m disappointed), but this is a very thoughtful, very personable & very well produced podcast - well worth your time.

You ain’t gonna find ivory tower theology here! As I say “Theology that can’t or doesn’t outwork itself in justice and/or pastoral care isn’t worth looking at”. The theology here though DOES work itself on the ground.

Yeah, this is a tough one to get through. I’m all for giving people a sympathetic hearing but these topics are mostly just microwaved mid 20th century theological hot takes that have been discredited and are not believed (now or ever) by the vast majority of Christians throughout the world.
