“I've enjoyed Bassem in all the interview segments I've seen him do. I can't understand why a TV network hasn't snapped him up. So I'm glad he's now got his own podcast so I can hear more often from him. He's astute and he's got the kind of life experience as well as fluency in English and pop culture to do a great job of bridging Egyptian/MENA cultures and US culture/s. The first episode with Maz Jobrani has them contrasting not just their different national experiences (Egyptian vs Iranian), but different immigrant experiences (adult immigrant vs being brought to the US as a young child). It's early to know how the show is going to ultimately play out but the first episode is interesting and I highly recommend subscribing to this podcast. Bassem is very good at what he does.”Read full review »

“The comedy is a little corny but the perspective and interview dynamic is amazing. The view from a brown guy in a white land with the wrong accent, wrong religion.”
