“There's an episode where one of them gets an iPhone and they're like "omg I'm one of THOSE people now. In the end it's just a useless piece of technology that I shouldn't have and don't need." This anecdote describes the hosts pretty clearly, or at least their pessimistic point of views. They're quite condescending about the games they play without any sense of obligation to talk about strengths or highlights. There's a lot of game snubbing (eg you DIDN'T know about THIS secret item?) and sometimes they discuss a game without having paid much attention, so Derek ends up having to explain it to Don, rather hurriedly and obviously perturbed.
