after season 3 of Buffy ends they start to rewatch BOTH Buffy and Angel so if like me you have no interest in Angel that can be an issue.
i am so conflicted about this review, i have listened to the whole buffy rewatch (plus the movie/comics and final thoughts) and on the whole i have enjoyed it however like the show itself when its good its good but the lows are very low (looking at you go fish)
most of the hosts are genuinally nice interesting people with a lot of wisdom and theories to share,
Even Brittany and Ariana are cool when not together, othersie it is just them 2 hating on it and i do have to wonder why on earth tney kept on doing it as never have positive things to say plus any episode when Ariana is "so angry" is just horrible to listen to as her negitivty puts a dark cloud over what should be a fun show. i also feel that "superman" Natalie basically turned on the show just to impress the cool kids ( Brittany and Ariana) so that was also sad to hear.
if they like someone then they can get away with murder (literally) abd if they do something wrong its the writers fault however if there are characters they dont like then they ponit black hate them and its the characters fault.
for instence at the end of seasson 6 they gave more hate to Xnader for telling Dawn what Spike did then they gave Spike for actually doing what he did. very uneven opinions.
oh and on the subject of Xander, he is "the worst" for his sexy thoughts towards women but the moment Angel shows up in just a towel its ok for the girls to make comments.
apert ffrom the above issues i have loved this podcast Karen & Maj are brilliant superfans, and hearing newbies Kristen and Mitch, have issue with the show but also enoying it has been a real pleasure.
highly recommend but try to avoid episodes with Natalie Brittany and Ariana as it is just 90 mins of half arsed negativity.”Read full review »
