Unsatisfying
These seem to be merely an extended advert for the book selected for the club, rather than an attempt to find out about the author and the idea behind their work in any depth. It’s unsatisfying and feels lazy. I’d recommend Simon Mayo’s Books of the Year for a quality book podcast if you want to know about the author’s process of writing, an in-depth look at their book and what drew them to write in the first place.

Good way to hunt down new authors but find format bit bland and boring

Love Richard & Judy in general, and the podcast is great, easy format, with interesting Authors. Their 10 year Anniversary for me marks 10 years of great recommendations , I’ve read most of the top books overall and have to agree they where are great reads.
