Conscious incompetence?
With his comedic guests he’s great, as he knows the subject so well and has a great rapport with them. However, what is extraordinary is that he has no musical knowledge at all, and in fact doesn’t even seem to enjoy music that much, yet still manages to pull great interviews from his musical guests. They might be his better interviews actually, ‘cos he hides his ignorance by shutting up and letting them talk. Anyway, great podcast!
