Going to be honest. Was never a fan of Cannon and Ball in their heyday, but after listening to this wonderful chat I’ve hunted down some of the mentioned moments and I am so surprised how well they crossed over in the world of alternative and newer comics. The Rik Mayall skit is a perfect...Read full review »

File him alongside Bob Mortimer as a true legend and someone I’ll always make time for, whatever it is they are doing. Great interview with a great bloke.

Charlotte Church - what a total star. Well done Rich, lovely interview

To summarise: it’s just not funny anymore. To begin, knocking-on for six minutes of adverts is unacceptable. Typically, there is then five minutes of painfully unfunny stand up with only Herring laughing at his own… well… they’re not jokes, so I don’t know why he’s laughing. Halfway through the...Read full review »

I was hanging out with Brian Blessed and Adam Buxton the other day. We were all talking about how great men with beards are, when one of them said “Does anyone still listen to RHLSTP?” That’s what they called it. And I said yeah, it’s the best. If you don’t know already, Richard is probably best...Read full review »

but like most left wing comedians, he cannot help but shoehorn his politics and his idea of free speech into his shows. Listen to him gleefully fantasising about the deaths of those political figures who do not hold the same “liberal” views as him. The irony is lost on his type of...Read full review »

The original ‘comedian talking to a guest’ pod and by far the best. For over a decade Richard Herring has been setting the bar for podcast guests and the inimitable Emergency Questions he asks them. National treasures Bob Mortimer and Sir Michael Palin, comedy royalty James Acaster, and...Read full review »

Just wanted to say how lovely this ep was. Funny but touching too. Nice one Richard.

never disappointed. great podcast, hundreds of episodes to listen to. adverts are way too long! so take a tip and fast forward the first few minutes. eg. the guest started talking at 12 minutes in on the latest episode I listened to 🤣

Can’t subscribe to this.

Been following for a while and love the show content. The audio recording and mixing is a bit jarring. Sounds thin and imbalanced, and the level jumps are massive. Otherwise it would be a five star review.

Fantastically funny. The guests you don’t know are sometimes the best

My friend suggested this podcast to me, and at first I was a bit phased by how many episodes there were, but Richard is hilarious and every show has been brilliant. I have now listened to every single episode from the very beginning! A very funny and very interesting podcast which I highly...Read full review »

RHLSTP! RHLSTP! Yes, I am a cool kid. You can be one too when you subscribe to RHLSTP! (RHLSTP!). He started a thing and it worked. Now everyone else wants to do the thing. But they can't surpass Richard and what he's acheived here with RHLSTP! (RHLSTP!). He has a great interviewing...Read full review »

This podcast has become so middle-of-the-road. I recently started listening to the very first episodes and they’re raucous, slightly unhinged and genuinely hilarious. Richard shows little to no respect for his guests and this makes those early episodes unique and unpredictable. Exactly what has...Read full review »

Firstly, Richard is very funny, you will laugh! But Richard also has so many interests that he is well informed in - you will learn a lot while laughing. His interviewing style, taking his time and opening up about himself, creates such a relaxed atmosphere that the guests are their truest selves...Read full review »

With his comedic guests he’s great, as he knows the subject so well and has a great rapport with them. However, what is extraordinary is that he has no musical knowledge at all, and in fact doesn’t even seem to enjoy music that much, yet still manages to pull great interviews from his musical...Read full review »

I like to listen to this podcast whilst holding my testicles. Basking in the knowledge that I’m better than Richard because I still have both of mine. This has made the podcast much better than it was before!

I listen to a lot of different podcast, but none more than RHLSTP. Really enjoy Richard’s silliness mixed with deep and important stuff.

Interesting, hilarious and insightful. I love this podcast, my husband recommended it and i’m still listening years later. I’ve listened to quite a few of them multiple times. Please keep up the great work.

I was surprised to read some negative reviews of this podcast and it inspired me to write my own. Richard gets great interviews out of people, he seems like a lovely, intelligent guy and something he does so well is just seem like a friend to the guest. The talks never feel forced.
