RHLSTP is a weekly staple podcast listening for me. I enjoy Richard’s style of interviewing and the guests he has on. The best interviews in my opinion are with those who aren’t comedians or actors, but with intellectuals where Richard gets his teeth into the subject without losing any humour....Read full review »

The sheer joy that Richard Herring so clearly had doing this podcast makes it worthwhile on its own. Then add the legend that is Michael Palin and you have a podcast I will listen to over and over again. A triumph

My friend suggested this podcast to me, and at first I was a bit phased by how many episodes there were. Richard is hilarious and every show has been brilliant. I am now listening to every single episode from the very beginning. Very funny and very interesting podcasts which I highly recommend!

...is absolutely wonderful! I can’t remember an interview in which Sir Michael was quite as relaxed and talkative. Richard Herring has really outdone himself there. He made a lot of hype around that interview and I have to say, it is even better than my highest expectations.

Please don’t stop. Keep them coming. In my top three poddies ever. Every episode (except the two with an obnoxious guest) is brilliant. Great job Gamcaster.

Disheartening to read some of the reviews on this complaining about a)advertising... on a FREE podcast b) specific guests... when you have 274 episodes to choose from, majority of which are laugh out loud funny. This has been a consistently excellent podcast for years now and I always look...Read full review »

I used to really look forward to these, but now not so much. Went off track when Richard became obsessed with Brexit and seemed to get desperate for guests. The Edinburgh ones were really hard work. Have kept my subscription and will listen if the guest interests me. This is a big change as I...Read full review »

I’m increasingly deleting new episodes after 10 minutes because it just isn’t interesting or funny. There’s lots of good episodes in the archive but I don’t know who most of the people are who’ve been on in the last year. When’s Brian Blessed coming back?

Been listening for a while now. Absolutely love all of them! Richard’s hilarious and so laid back - makes for very relaxed, entertaining listening. I leave 5 star ratings every week because I know each episode deserves it. Thank you for continuing to do these, they make my day when I see them in...Read full review »

...I was uncertain of Richard’s style but that was only temporary (and wrong). He’s brill and has so many wonderful guests.

Super

I was looking forward to a nice relaxing time with Richard Herring. But early on one of the guests came screaming on with no warning. If you’ve got earphones in it’s unpleasant and not knowing if that idiot is going to keep it down, I’m not going to the listen to the rest

One of the funniest podcast around. Guests are at ease and open up leading to brilliant interviews, none seem to be there just to flog a book or tour so you learn something about the real them. Interviewing as it should be done

Always a top listen, and amongst the fantasies of carnal activity with robots and reflecting on yet more quiz show failure, surprisingly heartfelt. Greg Davies episode from 2018 still the absolute pinnacle of 2 overgrown adolescents talking nonsense (if that is a genre of podcast).

I “discovered” RHLSTP in January this year. Listened to the second Greg Davies interview on the tube to work. Snorted loudly with laughter in an embarrassing number of occasions and had tears of hilarity rolling down my face. All interviews are insightful, some are hilarious, some crude and some...Read full review »

Used to be brilliant. Random questions about ham hands and finger in time used to take the guests on really funny tangents. But nowadays, it’s just a lot of monologues from the guests. I played the Nick Frost one expecting it to be brilliant, it’s basically just a quite serious interview, and not...Read full review »

Funny, serious, stupid, purile, those are four dwarves we never hear about. Richard , despite his small hands is not a dwarf he is however a giant of comedy and a podcast colossus. Great stuff.

I’ve listened to a few of these over the years but recently decided to go back to the start and listen to the ones with guests whom I know/like. I just listened to the Stephen Fry episode, which was wonderful and moving to listen to. Richard Herring gets the balance spot on between praising...Read full review »

This is very hit and miss. Herring is desperately unfunny himself, giggling at his own puerile weak bits, and trying hard to be zany and a real character, Colin Hunt style. The guests, when they are good, elevate it into listenable, but when it’s bad it’s absolutely awful. The Paul Sinha one was...Read full review »

I started listening to podcasts almost 2 years back and had no idea where to begin so I searched for Susan Calman and found her on this podcast, I was never a fan of the 00s “new wave” of comedy so was a bit anxious about this but god was I wrong. Richard is so funny and his guests bounce off him...Read full review »

If there is a better podcast to help pass long journeys I’ve yet to find it. He brings out the daft in everyone. The Emergency questions must be asked.

I get I understand why there is advertising but nearly 1 min 50 seconds for an ad that could of been done in 30 seconds....And advert in the middle of a conversation just ruins this otherwise great podcast. Genuine laugh out loud at times just sort advert length out

My husband played a few on a long car journey without the kids and I fell in love with this podcast. So much so that I’ve gone back to the very beginning to listen to them all!!! I’ve been watching Richard Herring since the 90’s when Lee and Herring were on the (I think) Sunday Morning Show, along with Kevin Eldon and Newman and Baddiel. Obviously he’s not on tremendously often but I recently found out why. Because he’s doing this. He hasn’t lost his edge. After binge...Read full review »

A superb podcast. Great guests, great comedy and a quality that never drops from the hardest working comic. Stewart Lee would never have made it big. Get Mr Herring back on the television. Televise RHLSTP. Brilliant

I have followed Richard’s career for years-like and love his comedy-these podcasts have become so much more than just a fun filled listen with his fellow entertainers. I am very glad that some recent episodes have taken a more “serious” tone-still with a dash of silliness intact...Nicholas...Read full review »
