Wonderful show! Thanks
I found this earlier in the year and every week it keeps me company on the way to work!! Thanks so much. I will provide some constructive criticism, and who knows, maybe someone will read it. I think that Spencer is a great presenter (should be on the TV), however, his determination to give often irrelevant facts concerning fights (the month it was held, the venue, the actual date) can spoil the flow. I sense that he is so determined to cement his place in the boxing media that he is trying to memorise these facts before the shows, to then regurgitate during interviews. It can feel a bit like a game. If you are reading Spencer, please take this as a positive. I am saying that I think you are too good to need to do this. Your opinion and knowledge is superb, but this is not a pub quiz. Facts about the actual fights are interesting (I.e, when someone went down. Was it a controversial decision etc...)whereas interrupting someone to say, 'that was York hall wasn't it' (back in 1988) isn't needed. Either, this is a display of a computer like memory or suggests that the dates are memorised in preparation for the shows. I would put my money on the second. Ironically, I would say that this is the part that makes people hesitant regarding the step up onto the screen. And that will happen before long, I have no doubt. Sorry for the long winded response. I have this thoug every week! HahaRead full review »
