New Music and Insightful Opinions
It’s really clear how much preparation and thought goes into these shows, which are free every week and usually over 2 hours in length. You are in good hands, every week Remfry and Steve bring a bunch of new reviews from a pretty wide variety of bands under the ‘alternative’ umbrella. They have an easy rapour and though it might not be for everyone, I really relate to their sense of humour and always have a laugh listening each week. As the podcast has grown, so has their enthusiasm and appetite for interesting new music and as a consequence both Steve and Remfry have seemly expanded their tastes and tested each other to listen to things outside of their comfort zones. This benefits the listener, as it encourages the audience to do the same. As a result I have heard some really great new artists and albums that I would not have otherwise come across. Also, as a side note, I have been really impressed by the audio quality on these podcasts. They kept going all through the pandemic, recording in separate locations and managed to keep the quality of the recording clear and without weird delays. It might sound like a small detail, but they have clearly put effort into this and it makes for a much nicer listening experience.

More reviews of Riot Act
Love this show, always entertaining, great mixture of music genres reviewed in depth and with often hilarious asides. (And unlike Steve’s previous podcast, the hosts respectfully allow each other to have a different opinion!) Great banter and chemistry between the two, long may it reign!
