Brilliant from start to finish. Every time. Especially the rants.

Hearing Remfry is having a tough time, thought I’d pop in a review to point out that as with many folks, I myself had a pretty horrid time over the last couple of years, so just wanted to say how this insightful, honest, relatable and above all extremely entertaining and funny podcast really...Read full review »

Meh! Used to love these guys and TNM, but now pop and rap. Sad as they actually speak well and the production is very good. I mean, damn! Much better music in the underground, but apparently The Satanist is better than Fas.

It’s really clear how much preparation and thought goes into these shows, which are free every week and usually over 2 hours in length. You are in good hands, every week Remfry and Steve bring a bunch of new reviews from a pretty wide variety of bands under the ‘alternative’ umbrella. They have...Read full review »

Love this show, always entertaining, great mixture of music genres reviewed in depth and with often hilarious asides. (And unlike Steve’s previous podcast, the hosts respectfully allow each other to have a different opinion!) Great banter and chemistry between the two, long may it reign!

I have been listening since Episode 0 and I honestly love this podcast so much. Steve and Remfry are funny, engaging and immensely knowledgeable! I’d have missed so much great music without this in my life. Nice one.

I’ve been searching for a music podcast that is wide-reaching in the genres of music it explores, and I’m happy to say I’ve finally found the one. Stephen and Remfry have great chemistry, a background in heavier music that has broadened out similarly to my own journey and the research that goes...Read full review »

My favorite music podcast. Love you, guys.

What started out as a fun, interesting and insightful music podcast, has become an elitist, boring and frankly ulistenable mess. Let's ignore all of Remfrey's pretentious, overused phrases, the sheer level of bordeom that strikes whilst listening to this podcast these days is quite...Read full review »

Reviews, news, and all round top lads. They take the music seriously but don’t take themselves seriously, which is very important. The regular show is the first thing I listen to when available and the specials go into great depth and are always really interesting. The passion and interest in the...Read full review »

I’m writing this review in the hopes that the creators get wind of the numerous mistakes and assumptions they’ve made in this episode. So far I’m about 10 minutes in and the amount of incorrect things shared is quite glaring: *The songs did not originate from jam sessions. Omar was quite...Read full review »

This podcast has opened up so many new bands for me to check up. Although from a metal listening background, discovering artists like Fiona Apple has been awesome. I might not like all the bands they suggest, but that isn’t the point, it’s more about being open to new genres

Some people are intimidated when talking to large amounts of people in an entertaining way, not Stephen Hill and Remfry Deadman. Professionalism is... and that’s what you get!

The mixture of valuable experience, rich insight and comedy chemistry that exists between Steve & Remfry makes for a near as dammit perfect music podcast. Also, the breadth of musical styles and genres covered will open almost everyone up to great music that they otherwise would have been...Read full review »

Stephen and Remfry are so knowledgeable in the genres that we love. It’s like sitting down and having a conversation with your mates. They have put out great content during the covid era and to think they have live music still to come. The future of the podcast is exciting. For lovers of...Read full review »

I’ve been a fan of Steve and Remfrey’s work for some time, and this continues the tradition. There’s a huge diversity of artists featured which always keeps things interesting, and they keep me in stock of new artists and music. Tbh I’d be a bit lost without this in my ears every week. Fantastic podcast on ‘alternative’ music. The umbrella is very wide - Haim to Lingua Ignota by way of Cattle Decapitation. What more could you want? With the main show, and all the bonus episodes over on Patreon, there’s so much material to get your teeth into and every one is a pearler. Great...Read full review »

I can’t recommend this podcast enough. I’ve been listening to Stephen Hill since the early 10’s and this podcast is the perfect vessel for him and Remfry to give the most up to date analysis and present amazing bands that you might miss otherwise.
