Interesting- but needs fact checking
Overall- I enjoy the story telling and wit. But in the Fyre festival episode- information given wasn’t 100% accurate. Some of the important happenings were not correct or missing. Was Ja Rule associated with the previous Magnisis card fraud? In video clips of the two- they say they met after that. McFarland was originally holding the festival on an island once know “Pablo Escobar’s island”. They were not allowed to use Pablo’s name- but when they hired the models and filmed the promo- they clearly advertised it with Pablo’s name and breached that agreement. They had to quickly find another location (festival was months away) and that’s when they decided on the tip of Exuma. It’s an important part of the story because it was a red flag to his adhering to agreements and why it how it landed on the Exuma island and tore those people’s lives up.

In a style similar to Malcolm Gladwell, Jacinthe A. Galpin takes historical events and interweaves modern analysis of business risks and decision-making. Her stories are engaging and her analysis of the human decisions behind familiar events adds a new layer of understanding. Highly recommended!
