Non-balanced journalism
I have been a regular listener for a couple of years. Initially, I enjoyed the shows. However, over time, I noticed that the journalism was becoming unbalanced. The journalists would state a hypothesis and then set out to prove that hypothesis by interviewing only those who supported the narrative. On the rare occasion that they did seek a counter view, it was usually denigrated. I don’t want propaganda. I want balanced journalism that allows me, as a thinking person to make up my own mind on an issue. I don’t want to be steered in a direction by the presenter’s ideological position, even if I agree with that position. Accordingly, I have unsubscribed from The Detail.

Balanced, intelligent, insightful. Impartial and a little anarchic. They don’t let the story get in the way of a good truth.

At 20ish minutes long, this is the perfect podcast to listen to on an early morning walk. Contemporary and varied subjects, with experts featured, give credibility to the show.
