Justified
2004. I was a kid in Ohio watching the Alkaline Trio: Halloween at the Metro DVD. Looking at the case inserts or whatever, there was miniature print of the gig poster and on it read the Thursday night supporting acts – “LAWRENCE ARMS / COLOSSAL”. I thought, “huh, cool name.” Fast forward 16 years, living in Chicago for the past 10, seeing them countless times live, they’re easily my favorite band. Simply put, it’s incredible to hear BKs guts spilled on top of each record that helped shape who I, and many others, turned out to be. I don’t write podcast reviews, but I’m writing this one with my daughter in my arms who I cannot wait to play Oh Calcutta! for.

Should’ve stopped when all the Lawrence Arms/Broadways records had been covered. And even then- 4 eps for “Broken Van”? Yikes.
