Thank you so much for doing this!

The best part of this series, more so than the deep dive into Beex’s back catalogue and musical output, is listening to the friendship between Tim and Brenden blossom over a short time.

Feel like such a moron for taking so long to start listening to this.

This is a fantastic podcast, and I requested a hug from Brendan outside of the Riv, and he was kind enough to hug back. Great job as always fellas

One of the best culinary podcasts on the internet. Green peppers should be a socially acceptable handheld food just saying.

Should’ve stopped when all the Lawrence Arms/Broadways records had been covered. And even then- 4 eps for “Broken Van”? Yikes.

I bought ghost stories at the recommendation of a friend, that was right around the time Apathy and Exhaustion came out. I’ve been a die hard fan ever since. To hear the stories behind the songs give a whole new depth and meaning to the catalog that I’ve loved and already meant a great deal....Read full review »

...I'm kinda bummed that Kelly slagged APATHY AND EXHAUSTION, since it's my second favorite Lawrence Arms album (after THE GREATEST STORY EVER TOLD). Still, lots of good info in each podcast -- nice break from listening to audiobooks and political podcasts.Read full review »

I told everyone with ears to listen to this, the greatest podcast to have ever or will have ever been made.

This is my favorite podcast. It takes me forever to get through each episode, but it’s worth all the time spent. The stories behind the songs are so interesting, and I love Brendan’s stories and Tim’s interview style. As long as they keep ‘em coming, I’ll be listening!

See what i did with the title there..... So yeah, this podcast is just great. 2 highly intelligent goons (is that possible?) talking about the phenomenal records Brendan has been a part of. Worth a listen for Brendan’s impersonation of Fat Mike alone! Also check out Tim’s other podcast ‘As You...Read full review »

This thing could not have met my life at a better time. Big fan of all these bands, and the storys are making working in these times go by a bit faster. Also get's me very hyped to revisit albums that have not been in the rotation for a minute. I just hope someday I can afford $7 a month for...Read full review »

I’ve thoroughly enjoyed hearing about the writing process, as a musician myself I always enjoy hearing about writing, ideas, recording process, touring, influences, etc. Keep me coming boys. Oh ya I guess Tim is ok too. 😉

The insight into the writing process has been priceless and it's something I always wonder about with all of my favorite bands.Read full review »

Tim & Brendan are so much fun to listen to. Essential listening for fans of the Lawrence arms/punk music in general.

This podcast has singlehandedly gotten me into podcasts! Tim does a great job doing his research, asks great questions, and keeps Brendan telling great stories. Keep up the great work!

The Lawrence Arms are a phenomenal band. In fact, they are the best band. All other bands are inferior. Other bands should listening to this podcast to learn a thing or two.

the people demand more from Tim, Tim is great, an excellent interviewer, his passion for the subject matter both informs and improves the podcast in a genuine and wholesome way without straying across the line into some weirdo worship ritual, and Tim has a nice voice,

This podcast is perfect for someone who has listened to all the TLA records (and the side projects) an embarrassing number of times, and is still hungry for more. Fun times. Thanks for putting this out there for us to enjoy!

I’m really enjoying this podcast journey, but I wish the host would get out of the way. So often BK will be telling a good story and the host will interrupt and completely derail the whole thing. I find myself saying ‘shut up, Tim’ aloud way too often while listening. He seems like a really...Read full review »

It’s been great getting to hear the stories and inspirations behind the albums and the songs of all of Brendan’s projects. Highly recommend.

It’s great getting to peek behind the curtain and hear Brendans thoughts and stories about the songs and albums. And Tim is an spectacular interviewer, asking all the right questions and relating brief stories when appropriate but never losing focus. An excellent podcast!

If I didn’t have this podcast during these trying times, I surely would have jumped off a very tall structure — a large building or statue perhaps. Thanks yall!

The host is kind of a rube, but this has been a fun listen and Brendan has some great stories. I wish every band did this.

Two episodes for Metropole and they couldn’t fit in News from Yalta? I’m kidding. It’s a good show. If you like the music, it’s a good time.

If you lived I Only Listen to the Mountain Goats... you’ll wish this were so much better. But you’ll listen to all of it anyway because you love the Lawrence Arms. I’ve never listened to a Lawrence Arms song in my life. But I love hearing the painstaking explanations behind each word and each chord of each line in each song on each album. Color me with rabid enthusiasm for more The Lawrence Arms regalia/obscuro commentary. 👌🎙🎸❓

Brendan is f-ing hilarious and Tim does a great job researching the albums and keeping the structure of the show moving along.

I’ve always enjoyed the work of BK, but these podcasts have been a nice rabbit hole to go down and has made me appreciate all of these albums even more than I used to!!! ❤️

As a Fan of BK’s since Slapstick, and by extension all the fine dudes he’s collaborated with, this podcast is truly awesome.
