“Romance of the Three Kingdoms can be tough for Western readers because we have almost no cultural reference for the story. This podcast does an excellent job of telling the story, explaining those references, and bringing the many, many characters to life. It is an enjoyable listen on its own, and an even better supplement while reading the books yourself.
Highly recommend the website as well: maps, character relationship graphs, etc for each episode. The podcast is very accessible on its own, so using the website isn't strictly necessary -- but those visuals really add to the story for those who want them.”Read full review »
