The Rosebud podcast is one of my favourites, but this particular episode is hilarious. Twiggy & Gyles are like a comedy double act! Keep up the good work Gyles: you’re great company and this podcast brightens my week.

Fantastic interview - just shows you should not judge a book by its cover. Giles gets the best out of everyone and adds his own stories to complement not dominate the conversations. And he's funny!Read full review »

I’ve recently started listening to podcasts.I came across your podcast and thought your voice would be too posh for me to listen to.How wrong I was. You have a lovely gentle spoken voice. I look forward to this podcast every week! Sometimes I find myself laughing along, sometimes choking back tears. I particularly enjoyed Gyles’ stifling laughter during the Merlin Holland episode😂🥹😂

Really enjoy this podcast, it’s a little old- fashioned and charming which matches the nostalgia brief. Gyles’s rich voice and the genuine fascination he has for his guests and their stories makes it a must listen. Rupert Everett, Charles Dance and Michael Palin episodes stand out 👌🏼.

I love Gyles, I have listened to all episodes of #srwp, so this was a no brainier. Love listening while cleaning, driving, even when I have a moment at work, the guests are fascinating and I love it when Gyles tells his stories

Interesting and full of amazing recollections from wonderful guests

I think the reason why Rosebud is so good is because Gyles is genuinely curious about people. He wants to know the answers himself, not just for his audience, and that comes across. Also, you feel he cares about the interviewee and wants to ensure the experience is pleasant for them. I appreciate...Read full review »

Brandeth interviews accomplished and interesting guests skilfully. His natural empathy encourages them to speak freely. The engaging interview with the talented Rupert Everett was a fine example of this podcast’s superior appeal.

Giles has the best and most interesting of guests on this type of podcast, it’s what drew me in the first place. His own memories and knowledge just add to the enjoyment.

Listening to Gyles and his interviews is always a wonderfully relaxing way to spend an hour in between the mayhem of the day.

Rosebud is the perfect antidote to the ghastly news we hear every day and Gyles’ lack of cynicism and fascination in his guests is a complete joy. Rosebud is my go-to podcast at the end of each week - Lulu’s pod is an absolute treat; they should have a double-act!
ClaraCoop via Apple Podcasts · Great Britain · 02/12/24
Quite simply a must listen podcast. Broad range of fascinating guests. Gyles manages to make you feel as though there’s just the three of you having a conversation. Time for a knighthood from the King.

Totally absorbed by it. What a perfect interviewer Giles is, asked really searching questions and then keeps quiet while the subject answers perfect thanks

I have really enjoyed all but one of the episodes. Gyles is a great raconteur and name dropper, but in Rosebud he gently leads his guests to talk about themselves. I would have given 5/5 after having listened to a couple of great interviews (Joanna Lumley is a legend) except in the most recent talk with Joe Wicks I found Giles to be incredibly patronising (“oh well done you”) and he seemed fixated by Joe’s childhood, treating him like an interesting...Read full review »

Loving this podcast series already. Gyles has such a fantastic way of talking to people and asking questions that we often don’t think about. Alison’s episode was stand out to me and of course the amazing Miriam Margolyes (was so excited to see she was a guest).
