I would have given 5/5 after having listened to a couple of great interviews (Joanna Lumley is a legend) except in the most recent talk with Joe Wicks I found Giles to be incredibly patronising (“oh well done you”) and he seemed fixated by Joe’s childhood, treating him like an interesting specimen and proffering unasked for psychological assessments. Made me feel uncomfortable for Joe. He’s better with “posh” folks of his era I think…

Giles has the best and most interesting of guests on this type of podcast, it’s what drew me in the first place. His own memories and knowledge just add to the enjoyment.
