“The episode about French workers at McDonalds was just pure unabashed corporate propaganda. Horrible.
If it was paid for by McDonalds, I would think it was heavy handed greenwashing. But it seems the team honestly thought this was unbiased journalism.
What was a story of worker solidarity and union busting turned into a weird puff piece.
The main use for this particular piece would be to teach a class on greenwashing. Spot the reframing. Gross! Just disgusting journalism.
So confusing, as so many of the other episodes seemed so nice. But now I wonder what other stories they are misrepresenting…”
