“The hosts of this show like to refer to themselves as "heavyweights" when it comes to investigating bigfoot and everyone else (aside from those people who come on their show) as "lightweights."
This holier-than-thou attitude is a turn-off.
There is absolutely no reason why the members of a marginalized community need to put down others of that community.
And, as for the hosts coming down on "self-proclaimed experts," last time I checked, everyone involved in the bigfoot community is a self-proclaimed expert. There is no college, university or community education program that offers a degree, or even a nicely framed certificate, in bigfootology.
