The greatest!
Saturday Afternoon Fever is without doubt, the greatest AFL / Melbourne / childhood memories from growing up in the 70’s & 80’s book ever written. It doesn’t get any better than this champions! Except it now actually does … because of this podcast. Sometimes, book readings by their authors fall (very) flat yet, Matt Hardy brings his book and recollections to life in a manner that makes the book even more authentic. Despite having an abiding love affair with MoonMan’s comedy - I was a bit sceptical as to what he would actually bring to the podcast but he plays the role of ‘the enabler’ in just the right way. Bravo Sirs. First class Much like there never being a sequel of the book; it’ll be a sad day once the final (30th) episode of the podcast drops. Can’t recommend this podcast highly enough - compulsory weekly listening 👏🏼🙌🏼

More reviews of Saturday Afternoon Fever – Matthew Hardy & Lawrence Mooney
Brilliantly narrated by a couple of really funny blokes who bring back great memories from growing up in the outer Melbourne suburbs in the 80s. Well worth a listen!

One of the funniest podcasts I’ve ever heard. Matthew’s book is heartfelt and hilarious, and this podcast is more of the same. Lawrence and Matthew have an effortless ease about them which makes you feel like you’re part of their conversation. It’s genuine, heartwarming and laugh out loud funny....Read full review »
