Nice try🙏
I know you’re trying so hard to be a totally neutral and objective conversation, solely about information and not rooted in judgement whatsoever... but, that seems impossible. Just the way you comment on why a person might believe a certain thing or where they come up with their info just sounds inherently judgmental bc the two of you can’t control the variables in your voice when you say something that you think is outrageous... and someone actually believes! The two of you marvel at so much of what drug users think and do that it only highlights that you’re outsiders to the community. I’m a casual cannabis user w MS and I found the cannabis episode to have a general undertone of, “I don’t mean to judge, but ppl think this?!?” It’s offensive although I appreciate what you’re trying to do. This an important experiment bc I’m now thinking it’s got to be impossible for anyone to hide their biases in their voice inflections, unless their a sociopath or something. Which you two clearly aren’t! You’re brilliant wonderful people that can’t control your tone when you think something’s stupid or very unusual to you. I really don’t think it’s your fault, I just don’t think you realize that you two sound skeptical and baffled (like everyone is stupid that believes holding smoke gets you high) I agree that’s an incredibly dumb thing to believe, holding your breath makes you lightheaded- it’s not the weed- the problem is is that someone that does believe that will feel stupid and small when they listen to the two of you speculate on a world you’re not a part of. Doesn’t matter dude smoked weed in college, that’s literally the most basic obvious rite of passage every dude in college talks about. Him even mentioning it so much to in an effort to give himself cred has the opposite effect bc actual users will roll their eyeballs back into their head hearing someone citing a brief stint w pot in college as some in to actually understanding what ppl suffering are going through. You sound like you think that the misinformation that users believe is dumb. And it is!! It’s just that you’re claiming objectivity!! I know you both mean well and I respect you for trying so hard, but this was sadly really tone deaf and I think would actually make a lot of people suffering feel even worse bc their stupid, too? Thank you for trying something that’s prob impossible.♥️🙏

I appreciate the straightforward, scientific outlook of Dr. Suzu Gage. Scroobius Pip’s anecdotes are insightful as well. I think people could benefit from listening to these facts and learning information in an unbiased way.

There is something iconoclastic about Suzy Gage and Scroobius Pip talk in an informed and educated way about drugs. It belies the media scares and the 'dope cures everything' stoner propaganda. Probably the most important podcast I've listened to in recent years. Surely, programmes...Read full review »
