Love the story and the presentation. The number of advertisements per episode was so obnoxious. Almost made me stop listening. I would have rather paid to listen ad free.

So it’s 2024 and I’m just knowing about this story and it’s really sad. I lost a very dear friend to cancer this year and when I think about the pain she endured and the loss that her family and even me as her friend feel I cannot believe that someone who tell such a lie. Cancer is so serious and...Read full review »

This podcast is absolutely amazing, on so many levels. I typically take a while to make it through series like this as I’m a stay at home mom and listen in the shower, or while cooking. I found myself volunteering to wash dishes and such just to get alone time to be able to listen! So sad I’m on...Read full review »

Like everyone else, you sit back and ask “why???”. The only episode I didn’t enjoy was the bonus episode with the teacher, she went on way too long. Would’ve liked Charlie to ask questions and get her responses rather than her diatribe.

Wow recommended by a friend. Got to say this is great reporting and this woman is so sad. Simply can’t figure out the WHY!?
Runninglikemad via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 11/03/24
Good but could have done with less repeating of the same information didn’t move the story forward quick enough.

Have never had to deal with five plus ads multiple times during a podcast. There are way too many, it’s incredibly annoying.
Picklesandnichols via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 10/23/24
So sad to see what greed and money can do. We all had/have a story to tell but what Amanda did is pure lust and Cory will have to live with what he did. Great podcast. Thanks for doing the full investigation.

Just like the title said. I know that advertisements are how they’re able to make their money and still make these episodes but no matter how gripping and interesting this show was I was frequently turned off by the bombardment of advertisements weirdly placed right next to each other for minutes...Read full review »

This was honestly the first podcast I happened upon when searching for a true crime podcast. It made me mad that someone could do such things. 1 episode and I was hooked. Thanks for the bonus episodes as well!!

I really liked this podcast but the ads were beyond obnoxious. Every episode was like one-third ads!!!!
Oracle of Wassup via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 10/16/24
Fascinated by the amount of research and effort put in by the investigator/producer. However, the presentation of it dragged on and on, particularly with reactions from the people surrounding Amanda, rather than facts and evidence. Theoretically, you could skip straight to the last episode and...Read full review »

Great story, very well put together! My biggest complaint is the ads. I understand needing to have income brought in for a podcast but 15-20 minutes worth of ads in a 35-40 minute podcast is a bit ridiculous. Almost half of the podcast is ads.

Got my whole house cleaned because I couldn’t stop listening to this. Captivating, jaw-dropping, and simply mind boggling how someone could play this act day in and day out for so long. She may not have cancer, but I believe she does have some kind of diagnosis that hasn’t been revealed yet,...Read full review »

Well done! I’ve also watched further interviews on YouTube. Fascinating. It is inconceivable the time and energy Amanda put into maintaining this fraud. It is apparent she is seriously disturbed; unfortunately her intelligence, personality and looks all help make her believable.

What’s up with this description? If you don’t even take the time to edit your description why would I waste my time lol

I just listened to the bonus episode with the teacher at the school that Amanda was principal. My heart is breaking listening to the pain in her voice. How this fraud can look at herself in the mirror, albeit in a prison mirror, is beyond me.

I enjoyed every bit of it, very captivating, awesome journalism. Best podcast I’ve listened to in a long while, no single ads on it too!!!
Anderson Obi via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 10/11/24
Excellent storytelling and extremely captivating. I am listening for a second time. However, I do think the podcast lets Cory off pretty easily… Amanda was a child (17) when she met Corey so, he likely groomed her… then when she gets pregnant the second time there’s no verbal accountability going...Read full review »

Incredible journalism and very educating. As a former employee of American Cancer Society, I found it really interesting to learn how funds can be dispersed so freely. C just insane that people like Amanda exist

Very good podcast, factual focus and analysis! It is so important to understand the behavior and not just get swept up in the story. The insidious and calculating behavior of this person are dangerous. Hopefully, she doesn’t get released from prison. Something is fundamentally wrong with her to...Read full review »

The story was really shocking gripping and quite interesting but it could have been told in half the episodes. It just dragged on too much with repetitive commentary. I think you could have gotten the story told in way less episodes.

This is well researched, well scripted and wonderfully produced. I couldn’t stop listening!
MelissaMaday via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 10/07/24
This podcast was very well done. The emotions that came out of me listing to this as someone who truly battled this horrible disease. I hear she is in prison trying to fake more medical issues to try and get an early release.

Love this podcast. This entire story is crazy. And the bonus episodes 😳 so good
Kaswithsass via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 10/05/24
I thoroughly enjoyed every episode!! I’m just floored at the level of evil this woman went to to destroy so many lives! I can’t imagine what she’ll be concocting once she’s released from prison. She’s the type of person that should never be let out to harm others ever again. Thank you for all the...Read full review »

This makes my cry even though I’m on the first episode

This should be a two episode show that is dragggggged out. A lot of repetition and unnecessary back and forth that gets frustrating

I enjoyed this podcast and wish there were more episodes with interviews with other people she scammed!
godisgreat2022 via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 10/01/24
She still claims she is sick and has many “fake” episodes in prison. I was shocked to hear of the actual crime she committed. She lied about her charges. And continues to deceive people.
Jmeza001 via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 09/30/24
Crazy story to tell and very enthralling. Podcast takes about twice as long as needed to tell the story. We get it, Amanda had a blog.

Like many others have said…this podcast could've been a 2 part series. They podcast repeats segments/stories several times. It’s rather annoying. If you'd like to hear the story without the repetition listen to episode 1 & 7. Episode 7 recaps all the episodes.Read full review »

Incredibly repetitive. This could have been half as long with the content they had. It jumps around too much and doesn't leave you with a very cohesive time line. They needed to clarify and remind us more often who was actually speaking, with so many white women they all sound the same. In 8...Read full review »

Great show. I highly recommend listening to this. Really well done. But! My only question is how did Amanda fake the IV infusions? Anyone know?
Wren1961 via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 09/29/24
So much so, this could have been cut in 1/2. The story is fascinating, but got annoying hearing the same things 2-3 times.
shava lawson via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 09/29/24
Would probably rate 3.5 but that wasn’t an option. Fascinating story but timeline is all over the place. Wish it would have just streamlined through events from start to finish.

I was surprised by how much this podcast moved me! It was really well put together and I loved it. This was my first true crime podcast and I'm really impressed. I had a “friend” who pulled a similar stunt about 18 years ago. Couldn’t believe other people would try the same horrible things I experienced.

I listened to this last summer and glad to see it’s still getting some traction. It could’ve been summed up in less episodes but if you’re wanting something kind of long, this is great for a road trip. I feel sorry for the lady! Glad to see she was caught. Hope she gets some help.

All I could think the entire time: “this is real??? How??” This is so crazy to think allllll these people. It’s amazing how they interview so many people who were impacted by her crazy antics. Such a well put together podcast and such an interesting listen.
Kat. What. via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 09/25/24
It was a good story. It didn’t need to be so many episodes long. It just kept repeating the same thing over and over again. Also the typewriting sound got really annoying! Otherwise tells a story about a horrible woman.

Guys hear this story it’s crazy, killed it in 2 days at work 😂😂
Glitter Gaby via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 09/24/24
Although an interesting story, the telling of the story just kept going on and on and on without introducing any new information. It was wildly apparent early on that this was all a hoax and it could’ve been told in probably two or three one hour episodes but just kept getting dragged out.
