Meh...
The first two episodes are on the same case, and they don't actually dicuss the scam very much. It is a story of a disfunctional marriage that leads to murder. No first hand reporting, it's a story-telling podcast written from older articles. Same format at Crime Junkie: one person reads a script written by someone else on staff and then asks the co-host to read supporting documents or to react to what's going on.Read full review »

You continue to wait for the details of the “scam” but they just never evolve. Feels like minimal research was done and they’re just repeating a story they know nothing about. Narrators also laugh at inappropriate times……tacky.

but the banter is much too scripted. It would be better if the two hosts were having a genuine conversation about it. You can tell they are acting to move the story along.
