Gentle yet powerful
If, like me, you've felt a little upended by all the swirling energy around race in America right now, and want to participate but feel like you need to find your footing... the Seeing White podcast series might be grounding for you too. It does a great job presenting and discussing the history that led to craziness we have inherited today. And by going all the way back to the invention of racial concepts, we see not yet a tangle of inscrutable legislation, but rather the basic desire to take another's resources in order to strengthen ourselves. If nothing else, this (apparently human) impulse is worth examining and digging out of our own hearts right now. The firm yet gentle voices in these episodes have been keeping me good company in that process.Read full review »
