Has anyone check the Chinese bird food. Remember the dog food from early 2000? I wouldn’t put it past them. All the bird seed I’ve bought last few years says made in China.

I enjoy the show very much until we are diverted from science to a political view or “politically correct” topic. It is very hard to escape media slanted to one political view or another to manipulate real time ratings these days, and I hate to see an otherwise good science program slide down...Read full review »

Don’t waste your time! The left wing political views expressed in this podcast ruin it. Poorly presented by uneducated and ignorant people. So many other great podcasts out there so pass this one up and keep looking.

Tried to listen to the genetics of depression podcast. Sadly, I couldn’t understand what they were saying as both host and guest were talking so fast!! Please slow down so people can understand what you’re saying!!
Herself54 via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 06/21/21
The episodes were entirely about politics. The statements given weren’t objective and very little actual science was included.
Twijordan via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 06/17/21
Gender opinions and diversity are not science. Please leave cultural and political views out of science discussion. Saddened by the choices. So much science to discuss and the program chooses to discuss air this 😔

A tedious boring and dumbed downed show tailored to what your grandad might have thought science was about. Very little hard science. Lately it’s nonstop COVID coverage every week and it deals with COVID policy not even much of the science. Listen to the bbc naked scientist or other bbs science...Read full review »

While I enjoy Science Friday quite a bit, I was disappointed when recently on the show, I heard Ira Flatow refer to the Wuhan lab leak theory as being “previously scientifically debunked”. This probably was at least due in part to NPR reporting last year that the theory had been debunked. As...Read full review »

I now have fun facts to talk about with friends every week. I feel informed and love it. Great cast.

Great show, I’ve been listening since the beginning. Nice to have a pure science show without the normal soft speak to cushion the impact facts and truth have on the “logically, reason ability challenged”.

Don’t fall for this. They should stick to science.

Show marginalizes and diminishes views that it finds are outside NPRs core donation base. It almost feels like this shows nothing more than a mouthpiece for the national AD Council now. The way they parent non-scientific things like “ trust the science” should strike fear and every American who...Read full review »

This podcast should be renamed partial science. It seems that this podcast has fallen from science and nestled up to social trends. Please go back and do the amazing stories you once did with all of the results, validated facts, and without bias.

I missed the days when the program offers all the exciting news in scientific development. But lately there are too many episodes about politics. It feels like we are in the US version of the Cultural Revolution, where there is nothing that hasn’t been politicized. Sad!

Please stop calling it a “global” pandemic, that is redundant. By definition pandemic is a global disease outbreak. I expect better quality editorial overview from a leading science news podcast!

Can’t listen to this any more with its terrible liberal bias. I just heard the episode after Biden took office and it’s pretty bad. Hope they wiped all the drool off their desk after that one. Why not just tell us about science stuff and not alienate half the US. I might stop by later once all...Read full review »

I get so excited when I hear the voice of a new Science Friday play on my podcast list. It’s a true cerebral flow, full of interesting and mind expanding topics and passionate guests. If your tired of all the politicised science in this podcast, try SpaceTime with Stuart Gary. It is a much better science podcast without all the political commentary.

Lots of comments on why this podcast always “sides with the Democratic Party”. It is, after all, a podcast about science, so it shouldn’t be a surprise that the host and guests will look more favorably on Democratic policies. This has always been my Go-To science podcast and continues to be even more so today. Disregard the 1 star reviewers who refuse to see the perils, i.e., climate change, pandemics, will have on us and our descendants. Ira and his guests speak truth and it hurts their tiny brains.

So sorry I found this to be yet another liberal political platform. Try staying on the supposed focus of science and less on the politics or rename your program.

Recently the show seems to intersperse quite a lot of culture war errata rather than actual interviews and stories with actual scientists talking about scientific topics. SCIENCE Friday. C’mon people, get it together!

I’m not sure what’s going on there, but Science Friday’s quality has really been slipping lately.
