A great overview of science news. It doesn't go as in-depth as I'd like but I suppose there are other podcasts for that. It hasn't updated in a whole, though.Read full review »

This was an interesting discussion of varied science topics moderated by one who knows how to ask questions of scientists and science journalists. It seems to be replaced by three self-styled ethicists who do not deal with science. As it is now, the podcast is closer to religion. I stopped...Read full review »

Please do not discontinue the NYT Science Times podcast! I listen to every one of them. My household subscribes to the NYT Home Delivery, the online version, the iPad app, in addition to the Science Times podcast. My spouse takes the Times to work in the morning, so I never get to read the...Read full review »

I’ve loved this podcast since I discovered it over a year ago. I’m sad to see the recent change to breaking the traditional, one show format, to a series of independent segments .. it makes it much less convenient for me to listen but the show is still very good.

I used to get the paper edition of the NYT. But, being retired, I can no longer afford it. I always look forward to Tuesdays for Science Times. Now I have it via podcast.

Very interesting topics by the scientists who are doing the work. However, the commentators are stiff and without personality. Makes listening a bit laborious on occasion. Otherwise an interesting listen.

Insightful science  coverage that is also approachable & entertaining. From astronomy to chaos theory to colliders to significant clinical trials to healthcare policy.

It's so interesting to listen to the unique and intriguing topics the Science Times covers each week.  Well done!

The science time is a great snapshot of the weeks best science stories.

I eagerly await this podcast for its news, in-depth stories and 'aha'moments

Great conversation starters!.  I love to listen to this science podcast during daily exercise.  Later, I might  find myself drawing upon what I learned while in conversations with friends or at work.

The topics are still interesting, but sometimes the audio quality is just way to poor to listen to. It's frustrating and disappointing, because I know they could be better. The telephone interviews often sound particularly bad. I wish NYT would dedicate some of my print subscription fee to...Read full review »

Good information delivered by a girl with a squeaky, non-radio voice talking at the speed of light on the night I listened. Don't they interview these people before they give them a job?Read full review »

Does anyone know how can I get a transcript of this Science Times to read in college. I have an assignment and need to take a copy to my professor.

Seriously, common sense alone should have told David Corcoran that Diana Nyad couldn't have swam 28 miles around manhattan in 7 minutes. Really embarrassing IMO.Read full review »

Well presented, good quality, interesting topics. It provides an easy to listen to science podcast as in does not go into brainhurting detail! Very recommended

This podcast is the perfect combination of interesting, yet understandible topics, that have not been too dumbed down. As a non-scientist, I love the podcast. Some brief stories, and at least one more in-depth conversation per pod-cast. Not an exact repeat of the printed version, but always...Read full review »

David Corcoran does a fantastic job of covering the week's Science Times articles through original interviews with people involved with the topics. The podcast goes beyond reiterating the articles; it opens up a dialog with the experts on the topics. Must listen!Read full review »

In their first episode regarding avian flu, the host refers to "less than 100 deaths", "less than 200 deaths" and "several hundred deaths". You might be better off reading the actual NY Times yourself.Read full review »
