“This podcast suffer the same problem as one of Gimlet's other new shows, Surprisingly Awesome. The tone is wrong. Both shows try to be fun and seem like the hosts are making all sorts of spontaneous jokes but it doesn't work well. Fun podcasts need to feel less calculated and scripted. The (non-Gimlet) show Hidden Brain has the same problem. Reply All and Mystery Show do it perfectly and I hope Gimlet produces more shows like them.”Read full review »
