Great first start!
This podcast is filled with some great nuggets of info! My only complaints are that at times it can be a little unclear what is happening (twice now I’ve gotten confused on which fact is fake because I’ve zoned out for a second and didn’t catch it), and the whole “points” system seems kind of dumb to me. Old HFS viewers like me enjoyed the show because of the weird tangents! Seems odd to me to attach a value to that, and to try and gamify it. Just do your tangent things, and keep the points purely to the fake facts/cool facts sections. Spending points to go on little sidenotes just feel weird, and like a bizarre way to shoe horn in structure and rules that feel unnecessary. The show references tangents in the title, but treats them as something to avoid. I think the podcast has places to go, but in its current format it’s not very satisfying to listen to (for me personally). However, it’s very early on, and I’m sure things will adapt and change for the better in the coming weeks/months! I also come from the old HFS, so naturally I’m struggling with a different format in general, but I feel I’ve been fairly objective in my thoughts. Also, Sam is great, and I want a recording of just him talking to lull me to sleep.

I know, I know. Cliche title, but Tangents is my favorite way to learn new things. I love sharing random science facts with my friends, and this podcast is a great way not only to find random facts, but to learn more about them.

Sam is short with a round face and black hair, he slurmps (slouches backwards)in his chair. Stefan is tall and has spiky black hair with a bleached bit, he looks exactly like Michael Aranda because that’s who I thought he was the first time I listened. Ceri has long black hair and no distinct...Read full review »

I’ve never been a fan of podcasts. I usually can’t pay attention, the people talking aren’t talking about anything interesting, that kinda thing. This is the only podcast I enjoy. It’s informative, interesting, and hilarious at times. I’ve always loved SciShow, but this is even better. I...Read full review »
