Much like Slim Shady we are, in fact, back again (and you should definitely tell a friend). We have to catch up on the results of #mubb vs Maryland and Kam Jones going full Kam Jones as well as Stevie Mitchell stepping up to 2nd scorer and clutch player. We also talk about the development of some folks like Royce Parham. We close out the pod talking about the two games this week (Purdue, Georgia), what we think will happen in those games as well as the inexplicable TV schedule for the next...

The season is underway and it wouldn't be an #mubb season if we didn't have a mix of enthusiasm and trepidation. We have 3 games to review so we start the pod with a "Family Guy Compliment Sandwich". The bread is the guards and Royce Parnham and the inside is anyone taller than 6'6" who is currently shooting and not getting to the rim. We ramble around a bit, then we get to the Maryland preview. We then ramble around a bit more and close out the show. Enjoy!

Hello #mubb fans and welcome to the cusp of a new basketball season! It has been a real quiet off season as is typical for a Shaka Smart program it seems, so we're out of practice. We get together to talk preseason scrimmage content, season expectations, and schedule impressions. We've got less than a month until the ball is tossed on the first game of the season so let's start getting into game condition. Enjoy!

Once again, the Shaka era at #mubb is notably absent drama and intrigue that requires significant podcasting activity, this is a good thing. But it also means it takes us a while to get back on the pod and chat. So we're back for an off-season pod where we talk undramatic roster construction, NBA draft, future line-ups, schedule news, and light recruiting chat. We also talk about Dr. Lovell's passing and the announced retirement of athletic director Bill Scholl as both events can have a...

Next we turn to the legacy Tyler and Oso will leave behind at Marquette as this almost assuredly was their last game in blue and gold. Then we do a little bit of looking ahead to figure what the future might hold. Enjoy!

Boy, nothing like a routine pass to knock the wind out of the #mubb sails. The team had a series of set backs on the player availability front but with win anyway mentality they gave it a go this weekend in Omaha. We talk about the gutsy performance from the team in Saturday's game first. We then turn to the injury and availability issues the team is going through and what we think the team should do the rest of the regular season. We also talk about tournament seeding as result of what's...

No matter how you slice it, that was a fun and stress free week of #mubb. We're back to talk about a Kam Jones heater, Tyler Kolek pass-o-rama, and getting wins that count without overtaxing ourselves. We then preview the week ahead in a rematch against both Providence and Creighton where we decide how worried to be about a Hopkins-less Providence and how much it sucks to be in Omaha. We close out looking ahead a little bit at where Marquette is in the race for a protected seed in the NCAA...

Boy that did not go the way we had it planned in our heads. #mubb took a drubbing against clear #1 in the country, UCONN. So we talk about the game, what happened, what went wrong, what takeaways for the season as a whole, and is Marquette as far behind as that game might indicate. We then look to the week ahead with the hopes that the team having a chance to come home for a bit and play some not as awesome teams will have restorative powers. Enjoy!

Phew, that was a real gut check week for #mubb given how things were going the last couple of games. However, the team passed the gut check with a strong win over Villanova on MLK Day and a real roller coaster of a game at MSG against St Johns. We talk about both games, any general trends that we see as a result, and the emergence of Zaide Lowery. We then talk about the week ahead which includes what should be a laugher in Chicago against DePaul (emphasis on should) and a rematch against...

Well this turned out to be a no-good, terrible, unbelievable week for you #mubb team. We kick it off by getting into what in the hell is going on here post-Butler. We then also discuss the very disappointing Sean Jones news. To give folks a chance to vent and problem solve we took a look at what you folks thought is wrong and decided whether we agree or not. After a WHILE we then turn to the week ahead to decide if this is the week they can turn it around. Enjoy!

Welp, that did not go as expected. #ScrambledEggs is back to talk about a disappointing performance at Seton Hall and talk about how much concern we have for expectations. We also look ahead to the Butler game, thankfully at home, which should bode well for Marquette. It may not have been the week we wanted but damn it, we're gonna enjoy this next week if it kills us.
