The "National Enquirer" of security podcasts
Despite great production values, this podcast should be called "security later." It is so cluttered with ads, shout-outs, and self-congratulation that you'll need to listen five minutes or more before they ever get to security. Steve Gibson is fun to listen to, but is not a trustworthy commentator on security issues. For example, just before Windows XP came out, he predicted LOUDLY and OFTEN that it would destroy the Internet. (This is not an exaggeration.) Other reviewers have pointed out that his explanations and claims are prone to error. Listen for fun, but don't make the mistake of thinking you're being educated. Compare with more reliable commentators.Read full review »
