On the cusp of adulthood, and with a difficult childhood now behind her, Sylvia thought she had struck gold when she met 26-year-old Stephen Scott. He was charming, handsome and popular. But he had a wicked side and enjoyed putting Sylvia down in front of her friends and family. And behind closed doors, things were much, much worse. He carried out his sadistic sexual fantasies on Sylvia and on the night of 3 April 1998, armed with a syringe full of insulin, he went too far and Sylvia paid with her life. A truly harrowing case...
