The Backpacker Murders
Listen now
Description
This week we head Down Under, to Australia, as we take a look at a crime so evil, it sent shockwaves around the entire world. Millions of people go backpacking every year. The thrill of adventuring into the unknown, meeting new people and experiencing new cultures is appealing to many. But it's not without its risks. When backpackers started to disappear around the Belanglo State Forrest in New South Wales in the early 1990's, locals started to ask questions. But it wasn't until the discovery of the bodies of two British backpackers that police started to take notice. What they uncovered shocked them to their very core. A serial killer was operating deep in the forest.
