So loud, so explosive. This podcast is useless unless you pay for it.

Love the stories and how Andrew tells them. He has a natural way of telling the stories, and I find the stories intriguing. Listing to Treasure Island. I’ve never read the book and find I look forward to resting and bedtime so I can hear the next chapter. I’m a night person so this is an...Read full review »

Now it’s subscription-based. Well here we part ways

when you pay. Not every episode, but it’s obviously not a priority for Slumber Studios once they have your money. I’ve moved back to Spotify & YouTube Premium; meditation, choir, & di.fm chillout content, etc.

This podcast has amazing stories to help me fall asleep. Love listening to them every night. I wake up multiple times a night and continue the stories where I left off. They are interesting and engaging yet soothing enough to let me drift off.

I love this show so much - it really helps me to let go of the day’s thoughts & anxiety and move comfortably into relaxed space and drift off….. thanks

I used to love this podcast but they’ve added so many ads recently. Like, retroactively added them to all the episodes. I don’t mind ads at the beginning (gotta make money off us non-subscribers somehow, I get it), but putting an ad at the end of a sleep podcast is just mean. Thanks for waking me...Read full review »

Love it, but Andrew’s delivery sounds forced. He ends every sentence with a huff of air that is distracting. If this was eliminated, it would be perfect.
ekthayer via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 06/29/24
His delivery brings all of the characters to life—it is perfection. I will have to keep playing the Emily books, they are wonderful.

My brain is now trained to relax once Andrew begins reading. I look forward to hearing the stories. The Emily series is my favorite.

this podcast is beautifully presented with measured pace. the narrator exudes a tender regard for the stories. so engaging! having the choice to have background music or just voice is a bonus-thank you for your commitment to the podcast andrew.

It would be helpful if user could turn it off or at least lower the volume.

I have enjoyed all the books so far except one about Greece …or something. I did find the voice quite staccato for a bit but it seems to have softened to a degree. I DO NOT LIKE THE NEWER BACKGROUND ‘MUSIC’…it is too closely looped and actually stirs up my brain. I’ve resorted to voice only, but...Read full review »

I won’t even try listening because its so difficult to even find out which books were even read because of how they set it up. Please fix this as it seems like an interesting premise.

Loved the Emily books, can’t wait for the last of the series. Thoroughly loving North and South. Only recently found this so have lots of books to still listen to. Many thanks Andrew.

First of all: I absolutely love this! Can never get to sleep until I listen to this! I’m 13 with a crazy dramatic life and this gives me a break at night and I can sleep finally. Second of all: I’m here scrolling through the comments and I see some really nice ones. Here and there I see people...Read full review »

This was a great podcast with a massive range of content but then they added loud, annoying ads that wake me up. What’s the point in a sleep podcast that wakes you up?!?

AI computer talking, annoying

I think it’s unfair of you to put consecutive episodes of a story such as 2000 leagues under the sea, which I don’t like, as this can go on for weeks and there there is nothing new to listen to. Please put one episode out once a month so in between we can have more of the stories we like please?
Tropole via Apple Podcasts · Great Britain · 02/08/24
Please! Arrrrgh!!!!! Why did you erase chapters 1 and 2 of The Secret Garden? I am sobbing in my pillow.

I have insomnia, and I’ve listened to a lot of sleep inducing podcasts. This (and only one other podcast) is the best of all I’ve tried. My favorite of Andrew’s readings is Emily of New Moon. Also, thank you for presenting the story episodes in daily order.

Great stories, unnatural robot-like delivery meant I had ti turn it off after 5 mins.
sleepyheadslumberoo via Apple Podcasts · Great Britain · 11/06/23
I love this podcast and the slow quiet pace. It’s exactly what I’m looking for, gentle stories, no sudden noises, no loud music or sound effects. I’m really loving Emily of New Moon, a classic I never read when I was younger.
AppleFMJ via Apple Podcasts · Canada · 10/21/23
I like the story selection but because there’s the story with music and then without, you can’t listen sequentially. The halting reading style can be a bit hard to relax too, as it’s not natural and a bit stilted. But the selection is great, and I do love all the Sherlock Holmes!
HarrietBrown666 via Apple Podcasts · Canada · 10/18/23

I love the stories and your voice pulls me to sleep. Some mispronunciation of words but overall good. I am enjoying the Emily series immensely. Appreciate the improvements!

As someone who’s tried everything to get to sleep I can’t tell you how good this is After the first week I literally only catch the first five minutes and I’m fast asleep.
Glass of Riesling via Apple Podcasts · Australia · 09/06/23
I’ve listened to many sleep podcasts, and Andrew is able to soothe my mind gently, and then to read, thankfully without being monotone, and keep it interesting but soothing. I’ve yet to be awake at the endings. I enjoy his format and highly recommend this!
DB Pogue via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 08/26/23
I would love this podcast if it weren’t for the fact that the reader uses different accents and voices for different people. There is no need for the different voices, as people who follow the story can tell who is speaking from the context. His “French” accent for Hercule Poirot is so awful...Read full review »

A great voice to lull me to sleep and to calm my racing thoughts.

At first I thought the story telling was odd but I realised there’s a method in the tones because within minutes of starting a story I’ve drifted off. I love the Agatha Christie stories although I’ve yet to get the hear the end :)

So glad the series is read in order. Good thinking. Head and shoulders above those teasers who jump around in their readings.
