A great listen
A wonderful exploration of Black foodways via the lens of the Great Migration. Well researched, with a curiosity and joy about all of the living traditions. Highly recommended.

The first episode discusses how barbecue and Black food became to be a staple in American culture. The history behind that knowledge is fascinating; the anthropological history of a people and how they shaped the palette of this nation is definitely worth listening to.

Just finished the first episode and I can’t wait for more! Reminded me very much of what I loved about High on the Hog. So good, and presented in an easily digestible format (no pun intended).
