“Lani’s review of “Uncharted” was more diatribe than critique. It wasn’t so much the content of her assessment that offended the sensibilities (I actually agree with most of her criticism) but the tone...she sounded angry and bitter. As a matter of fact , her revision/adaptation of “Uncharted” was head and shoulders above what the show writers produced. But the anger in her voice was a profound distraction ... obliterating all the reasonable ideas she proffered.
I cannot imagine that any show- only viewers of Outlander can be anything but dumbfounded by all this sturm und drang about a a show they love for it’s visual beauty and brilliant acting performances...and that is perfectly fine!
I’ve read comments where dismayed listeners are unsubscribing from this cast. That, to my way of thinking , is a mistake. Lani is making reasonable points...but just in an unreasonable manner. I, for one, plan to stick it out hoping, in future, that blunt criticisms may be offered with just a wee bit more compassion.”
