“I love to learn about human sexuality. When scratching this itch of mine, I usually find myself rolling my eyes at dense, judgemental people acting flabbergasted at stuff I've known about since I was a teenager. Even without that, with how much I read about sex it's usually pretty hard to keep my eyes from glazing over.
However this podcast is exactly what I need for that itch! It's full of funny, semi-educational, thought-provoking people and stories. Not only does Chris have a great radio voice he really knows how to grab your attention at the head of a podcast. Most of the podcast is necessary background information or the interviews, and not just Chris giving his two cents. He is incrediably non-judgemental but at the same time doesn't gloss over the dark sides of whatever topics he's covering.
I would not recommend this to somebody who wants titilation, that's not what this podcast aims for. I would also not recommend this to somebody who isn't a big old sex-postive feminist.
I would say the downsides of this podcast may be the fact that you can only scratch the surface of some topics he covers with a 1 hour podcast so you maybe disappointed when a certain subtopic is barely or not touched on. The other downside would be he sometimes goes off on tangents. He may spend a good chunk of a podcast just talking to one person's unique experiences...while I usually find it interesting sometimes it's annoying to go into a podcast expecting X but instead you get mostly something only tangiably related.
I would not recommend this podcast to someone who wants titaliation (you may find it so but that's not it's aim) and I would not recommend this to someone who's not a big, old, sex-positive feminist.
Otherwise this is an engaging, smart, funny podcast for those who like to hear and learn about the diverse experiences of human sexuality!”Read full review »

“As someone who, within the last few years, stopped being a born-again Christian and has since sought to expand and enlighten my perspective on sex, I feel very lucky to have stumbled upon this podcast. Not only has it helped me in my journey to form an emotionally and psychologically healthy...”Read full review »
