Unsure of what the journalist is trying to achieve here …
I remember reading about this case years ago, and it is still just as horrific and disturbing as I remember. I don’t like that the journalist is questioning family members and friends (of course they didn’t witness anything!) has he actually spoken to professionals regarding trauma and abuse ? because a lot of the time abuse of this nature is covered up and hidden from friends and family. The mother is in jail because she admitted to abusing the daughter as well and told the court she was also coerced by the abusive father so that is why she got a lesser sentence. Of course they are never going to go on a podcast and admit to these crimes. The crimes committed by the father are absolutely disgusting so of course I can understand the denial of the sister and friends of the family, because the nature of them is so disturbing. However there is a lot more to the story then we understand and I feel like the journalist needed to take more care, his tone comes across like he is blaming the victim. I will not subscribe.

Feel like the journalist is totally on the perpetrators side.. not sure if I can continue listening. Usually love podcasts from the Australian, but this isn’t sitting right with me.
