I wish this could continue. It’s important to question our systems.

Would love to hear this story through a different podcaster as he’s so one sided.

Captivated by ‘Shadow of Doubt,’ I binged all 8 episodes. I question if some 1-star reviewers truly grasped the content, as my experience didn’t align with their critiques.

Thank you for putting this disturbing case to air. Unbelievable that it went so far as to put parents in prison. I’m ashamed of our legal system. The incompetence of police, psychiatrists and psychologists is in full display. The whole court case needs to start from scratch again. Several months...Read full review »

This podcast makes it pretty clear from the first episode that it’s biased against the victim/survivor, offering very one sided evidence and using compelling language to cast thin doubt against the evidence shared in the podcast. The author is more interested in having listeners question what...Read full review »

Listened to all episodes as it was a compelling case, but it’s definitely has a motivate (to cast a shadow of doubt on the case). If you go in knowing this motivate, it’s interesting but if you think this podcast is going to cover evidence from the case from an unbiased position - that is not...Read full review »

Fails to address the very well established phenomenon that victims (particularly young victims) will often not make a contemporaneous complaints. Padded with otherwise inadmissible opinion.

I was horrified as I listened to this - without even speaking with the victim, the producers of this podcast determined her abusers (who were found guilty and sentenced) to be innocent. To accuse a victim of making this up is appalling. I would give this zero stars if that was possible.

You should be ashamed of yourself. You even admitted you had doubts about the father’s innocence yet you victim blamed the whole way through. Disgusting journalism. Hope karma comes back for you after this.

Seduced by the perpetrators and victim blaming. “Emily” is NOT on trial. Bad bad bad. Total misunderstanding and misrepresentation of CPTSD. Perpetrators and groomers are very very clever in covering their tracks and manipulating everyone around them. The secure a conviction of this magnitude...Read full review »

Find the truth. The truth isn’t what the courts have said. Those two girls need help! So so Sad. I just cannot gage how this has come about. It’s a complete miscarriage of justice. The fact that the old police officer is with Emily gives me so many YUKS! We need a retrial. And that Mum needs...Read full review »

Great job handling such a difficult subject. It is clear that these parents did not get fair representation during the trial. It is also terrible that this woman has to live her life believing these things happened to her because her psychiatrist mistreated her. I hope this podcast can result in...Read full review »

There is no doubt that the dad is abusive and the mother did not do enough to protect her children. What is questionable doubt (I wouldn’t say reasonable) is the other half of the siblings living under the same roof that deny anything happened. What is also questionable is the evidence (the only...Read full review »

This is very one sided. It is clear there is abuse within this family and this podcast questions the victim survivors and blames them for their abuse. Of course the parents say they’re innocent. There is no critical analyses of how the perpetrator responds to allegations-and it relies heavily on...Read full review »

The sound quality of this is awful. I couldn’t get through the first part of the first episode. Why do I need to hear bugs in the background. It started to give me a headache so I shut it off. Please get proper equipment

The intention of the podcast is to create a shadow of doubt, but actually only makes them appear guilty. What a strange & dysfunctional family.

I believe the victims 100% despite the best efforts of the host to cast doubt on their stories. Disgusting

Filled to the brim with victim shaming and biased representations of a ‘poor father’ who has been mis-represented. The couple were charged in court with irrefutable evidence. I don’t think this podcast should have been published. It has the potential to be so damaging to victims of sexual abuse. If you’ve ever wondered how a girl that’s “REALLY good at sports” can possibly be a victim of sexual abuse, how parents who appear “super confused” when accused of abusing their children, can possibly be abusers, and you want to spend ~ 8 hours listening to a heavily biased, middle aged man (who...Read full review »

As others have said here, this is somewhat troubling to listen to. You get to the very end of this podcast and then the presenter tells you that he’s had an agreement with the mother and father from the very beginning that he’ll only tell their side of story. There is a real victim blaming mentality going on here and it’s shameful.
