This is not a victim centred approach at all. I would rate it more highly if it included just how nuanced trauma is and how unreliable memory is, for a myriad of reasons. The argument that everyone thought they were just a normal family, nothing to see here, is moronic. Abuse does not occur in public view and people see what they want to see. The gaslighting by both the mother and father towards their daughters is horrific and makes me think they are bad parents, irrespective of their alleged crimes.
