“This trend to monetise podcasts is a joke, podcasts should be free as they have always been since they began & if creators want to put adverts in their shows then fair enough, we can cop that & skip if necessary but asking people to pay for someone telling a story on a digital audio file is ridiculous. There’s so much content available to listen to on a multitude of platforms so why would I pay for something that I can get for free anywhere else? This show shouldn’t be sitting at the top of the charts when nothing is provided regardless of the reviews that attempt to defend the dreadfulness of this money grab. If your podcast is great, people will listen & your audience numbers will provide you with ad revenue, simple as that.”
