One of the finest storytelling podcasts going.
One of the most remarkable things about Shannon Cason is that he's as engaging and entertaining ad-libbing stories and introductions as he is reading stuff from the page. His easy command of conversation makes his written stories flow as smoothly as his off-the-cuff stories. But either way, he's always worth listening to-- though some folks may be put off by his personal subject matter, he manages to turn stories of everyday subjects into reflections on the feelings and experiences that bring us all together. His voice is patient, kind, empathic, and reflective, and makes returning to his podcast a lot like sitting down with a friend who listens well and gives good advice. Podcasts don't get a lot better than this.Read full review »
