I enjoyed the perspective of the cats in a post-apocalypse world. Good stuff

:(
i started listening because the story idea was so terrible i couldn't believe it. i stopped about 10 minutes in after it became extremely racist

I was unable to finish the first episode. The black men in this cast fit into one of two stereotypes: ghetto thug (complete with "N" word all the time) and the house slave who assumes he is too good for other black people. I was pretty much done after that.

Nice combination of post apocalyptic sci-fi and first person cat.

It was a little strange at first but it turned out being a very good story and production

I wasn't sure that I could listen to the book due to the first few chapters. The idea of "dose" was a little nauseating. However, I am so glad I continued. The character development was intriguing and created an enticing storyline. Overall, it was a really good book and I loved the ending.

Loved the story with a novel spin on the end of the world as we know it. This is a podcast well worth listening to and the narration is excellent.

Lots of language and abuse on women. Story line was good and I enjoyed the cats story line, just didn't like the extreme violence and language.

I really enjoyed this podcast. The narration was great and hearing the story from both the feline side as well as the human's was a bonus.

Fantastic! Vividly descriptive. Edgy and a lot of fun, especially with the cats. A truly original tale. Highly recommended!

I would highly recommend this to anyone who appreciates great fiction and insightful, articulate writing. Listening to SHAT, one is immersed in a well-developed, well-written world, which succeeds in being quite ugly in many places. Throughout, it is brought to life with visceral imagery and a...Read full review »

SHAT was a very cool read; an excellent choice for the first time I listened to an audiobook. One would have thought that there were no new ideas left for the post-apocalyptic genre, but Parrish managed to produce a new and very creative spin on the concept, making for an engaging listen. Finished SHAT, glad I invested the time! A fine read. Thematically rich, could be read as allegory. Pace was good, kept me going. Excellent characterization. Multiple points of view came together in a satisfying and convincing resolution. For a post-apocalypse novel it beats the hell out of The...Read full review »
