“The content of each podcast is overbearingly self indulgent. Mick O Toole just pay attention to many times you say “I” e.g I did, I think, I know, I met, I went etc. add to this barrage of self centred talk, the constant emphasis on how “as a journalist” you know more than everyone else, you see more than everyone else, you know things before everyone else. This whole series of podcasts is so sparse on actual news or information and so full of self promotional tripe, dressed up with regular occasions of feigned self criticism in an attempt to appear humble. Mick O Toole would be a nite-mare to go for a pint with. As a journalist you seem to have lost the fundamental goal of providing a service to the public which should be providing public interest news. Cant listen to anymore back patting amongst yourselves about breaking stories and how big they went and the important people you talk to etc. Listen to Nicola Talents podcast if you want some tips on how to do it properly.”
