One of my favourite listens, the show embodies the feel-good familiarity of golden era cosy-crime writing, celebrating the stories and the women who wrote them. Intelligent, informative and gloriously indulgent, with a twinkle of the understated sharpness of Harriet Vane. I love it.

A great look into mystery novels, and not just the books themselves, but also the authors, inspirations from the real world, adaptations and their detectives. I can’t wait to see what’s next.

I’ve loved the Golden Age mystery stories for years, and I’ve come to accept that they are mostly mere entertainments. But this podcast has a lot of insights that bring the comforting thought that there might be more to them than that. Keep up the great work!
